Vintage Miriam Haskell Jewellery
We offer an extensive collection of vintage Miriam Haskell jewellery. Credited as beginning the costume jewellery movement in North America, Miriam Haskell opened her first shop in 1926 in New York's McAlpin Hotel. The popularity of Haskell Jewellery in North American was equated to Paris' couturier Coco Chanel's creations. It must be noted that all Haskell's jewellery was hand made using only the finest materials from Europe and the Orient. Haskell's designs were all the rage to the Hollywood set including Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball and Greta Garbo. In 1936 Haskell was granted an unprecedented designated area on the ground floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. Today, the Miriam Haskell name remains as one of the foremost signatures in jewellery among collectors worldwide.
"Want my jewellery to be as unusual and ravishing as the women who wear it, for there to be nothing like it."
- Miriam Haskell
